Work eyetube
Bryn Mawr Communications came to us with an idea: to make gigabytes worth of resourceful videos available on the web, and target them to professionals in the eye care field. The result is Eyetube.net: an online video resource and file-sharing site developed exclusively for ophthalmic healthcare providers and industry professionals. It allows eye care professionals to view industry-related videos with audio tracks in a highly organized fashion.
AJAX technology was implemented on pages that required seamless navigation while maintaining the Sides Media practice of coding standards-compliant websites. Registration is free and painless, and once logged in, any user can download, rate, save, and comment on videos. Video rankings and statistics act as helpful tools in pointing users to interesting videos. In addition to multiple video channels, the site houses symposia, practice development, and product demonstration sections.
With over 30,000 registered users and 40,000 videos watched monthly, Eyetube has taken the industry by storm. It continues to expand – the newest feature is the addition of exclusive Eyetube videos. In 2008, Sides Media received the W3 Silver Award honoring Eyetube.net for creative excellence on the web.
